Caravans for Sale NSW
We’ve been noticing the caravans on the road.
They’d got me thinking..Perhaps if; WE got ourselves a caravan we too could get away for the weekends.
The more I thought about it, the better it seemed.
It would be great.. visiting places we’d never been to. We wouldnt have to book a motel in advance.. (and
arrive at our destination, and discover it is going to rain ALL weekend.)
NO.. we could just "hook up and go" when the weather suited us.
Caravan parks.. there are quite a few of them.. I thought, Just park and stay.
We’d get to mingle with other “caravanners” & perhaps compare notes, perhaps they have some great tips on
where to go.
I had a vision of a fridge full of fresh fish we’d just caught. Maybe staying near a beach, and
perhaps try our luck at fishing..
My sister has a “full house”.. (-2 adults, and 5 kids, living in a 4 bed roomed house) We could pay her a
visit. We’d just park the caravan on her lawn..
We’d arrive and stay -complete with bedroom, bathroom & kitchen. (With the added thought; with all her
kids; staying in the caravan would be much MUCH quieter than staying in her house.)
We also could use the caravan as an extra room at our house if necessary.
Yes, we had space on our property where we could park a caravan when it wasn’t in use.
The thought of owning a motor home did occur.
A motor home being one complete vehicle; and therefore it would be easier to reverse!!
I’d seen cars similar to ours towing caravans. If we got a motor home, then we’d own two vehicles. No,
I thought, how much easier it would be to park the caravan, (maybe at a caravan park) then drive to wherever we
wanted to go.
We decided.. We would concentrate on buying a caravan only.
In the comfort of my home we then “surfed” through all caravans for sale on EBAY (in New
South Wales)
There on eBay, were new caravans .. second hand caravans, cheap caravans, pop top
caravans, and big caravans, and smaller (our size perhaps) caravans.
There were many on site caravans also.
We looked through nearly all the photos on each caravan advertisment write up. I hadn’t realized there were
such a variety of caravans.
Perhaps if we actually looked through a caravan, then we'd get a better idea if caravanning was really for
us.
We spent an afternoon in town looking at, and looking through caravans.
Most on display were brand new caravans. They looked nice, and so fresh, and so new.
There were some tidy second hand caravans for sale also.
We could have bought the lot.
They were all appealing. There were so many different layouts. They all had “adequate” cupboards and
draws.
We'd sat down & relaxed in one, just to take in the feel of owning a caravan..
Our caravan "study day" certainly gave us a better idea of what we wanted in a caravan. -A little home (our
home) on wheels.
While there were advantages of buying a brand new caravan, we could get a cheap
one second hand. If it was second hand it needed to be sound, sturdy & tidy.
We then looked at private sales.
We could live OK in a small caravan., but we thought, if we purchased second hand maybe we could
afford to buy a slightly larger caravan for our money.
We hadn’t planned to work our caravan "hard".. We'd planned to purchase one so it was there if we wanted to get
away for holidays or on the weekends.
Some caravan owners were interesting to talk to. We got tips on "great places to visit".
We felt more comfortable buying a "nearly new" caravan.. a caravan that hadnt had so much use.
We're not mechanically minded.
Finally we found our perfect caravan. It was of suitable age, and price and size. It seemed to be very sturdy, and
in very tidy.
We enquired about the caravans history and it's maintenance and any repairs. The owner showed us all the
documents.
We are now the proud owners of a caravan.
We planning a visit to my sisters place this weekend.. so we can try it out, or rather "show it off" to
her.
Next weekend we may go fishing, the weekend after that we may go up north, the weekend after that perhaps some more
fishing..
How did we ever manage with out a caravan???
